James Bond 22 Director Quits

I can honestly say the last few James Bond films haven’t rocked my boat, and because of that, I am less of a fan of the series. However, I liked the idea of going back to a younger less seasoned James Bond in Casino Royale to see how everything started. Now before the film even comes out they are already planning the further adventures of a Young 007. I hope this new take revitalizes my interest the series. And now we find out they have already gone through one director.

Killer Movies posted this:

After recent reports that U.K. helmer Roger Michell was in talks to direct the sequel to Casino Royale, currently called Bond 22, the negotiations have fallen through due to “creative differences,” according to Variety sources.

Granted Roger Michell hasnt done a lot, but someone must have given him props to get him on a franchise like Bond. And it looks like he wasnt there very long.

It makes me wonder why the current director of Casino Royale, Martin Campbell (Mask of Zorro/Legend of Zorro) wasnt asked to do the followup. Creative Differences? Is this a sign that they were not entirely happy with Campell or did he just have something else to do?
