Keith Richards Gets Hammered Before Pirates Scene

Ever since everyone saw the obvious inspiration of Keith Richards in the performance of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in the first Pirates of the Caribbean, fans have been calling for Richards to appear in the franchise.

We’ve all known for some time that Richards was going to appear, but according to reports, he’s now finished filming his cameo. However… in Keith Richards style… looks like he got himself hammered before filming his shots. Movieweb gives us this:

Richards, no stranger to substances and liquids, was left to his own devices in his trailer before his big scene. That wasn’t a good idea. When the time came to shoot, he was a bit “wobbly.” To keep him straight, director Gore Verbinski held Richards by the shins.

“You’ve got to keep straight,” Verbinski told him.

“If you’d wanted straight, then you got the wrong man,” Richards replied huskily.

Hahaa… well come on… what did they expect? Personally, I can’t wait to see his part in the next film.
