Wow… if you ever doubted the power of editing, let this new trailer for The Prestige remove all doubt from your mind. The first trailer for The Prestige was just AMAZING. Powerful, intriguing and grabbed your attention by the throat and didn’t let go until it was over. Brilliant.
But now, a new trailer is out… and honestly if I had seen this trailer first I doubt I’d even be looking forward to the movie at all. Just inferior in every way.
But the funny part is that the two trailers have almost ALL OF THE SAME FOOTAGE in them… they’re just edited differently… and the second crappy trailer has an annoying announcer in it. What a waste. Folks, just pretend this new trailer doesn’t exist and we’ll all be happier for it.
