Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon/Memoirs of a Geisha) looks to be hopping over to our side of the pond once again, and she’s sticking around for a while.
Michelle Yeoh has signed for a pair of films. She’ll first star with Sean Bean and Michelle Krusiec in True North. Asif Kapadia (The Return) directs the $10 million drama financed by Film Four and other equity investors.
Yeoh will then star alongside Vin Diesel in Babylon A.D. for Fox and Canal Plus, with shooting to begin in November.
Michelle is most popular for her Asian works, but she has long since attracted the attention of North American movie makers.
I am happy to see that she will be doing more North American titles staring along side some top actors, but also that Vin Diesel looks to be building up some momentum again with Babylon A.D. and Hitman.
