: HOLLYWOOD, CA, United States (UPI) — VH1 Films and Paramount Home Entertainment are planning to release ‘Totally Awesome,’ their parody of 1980s movies, in U.S. theatres. The release date is Nov. 4. Directed by ‘Chappelle`s Show’ co-creator Neal Brennan, ‘Totally Awesome’ will also be released in early November as an unrated DVD. VH1 said Monday the film lampoons a bevy of 1980s movies through a plot involving lovelorn high school students and plenty of dancing.
The cast includes Chris Kattan and Tracy Morgan of ‘Saturday Night Live’ as well as Ben Stein and Nicki Clyne.
