Well it’s here. The new Spider-Man 3 trailer went up online tonight… and I’ve gota to tell ya… I’m not thrilled with it. As a matter of fact, think I liked the teaser that was out a couple of months ago better.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate this trailer. But I think perhaps my expectations were a little too high. I still have no doubt whatsoever that Spider-Man 3 is going to be amazing. The fact that I didn’t love the trailer doesn’t change that. But I’m pretty disappointed that it feels like they gave us more Venom in the old teaser than they do in this full trailer.
Oh the plus side of things, the visuals look great (although a couple of the shots looked cartoony… but it’s early still and I’m sure they’re going to work on that. The Black Spider-Man suit looks slick… and Harry looked better than I thought he would. But for heavens sake would someone please just knock off aunt Mae? Please??? She was cute in the first one, but the character just sucks.
