Dr. McDreamy Becomes Made Of Honor

Patrick-DempseyI’ll actually been a fan of Patrick Dempsey’s since way back in the “Can’t Buy Me Love” days (man I loved that movie “I happen to know for a fact that there is only one other tity, quite as pretty”… good times). I haven’t brought myself to watch any of his TV show Grey’s Anatomy because every female on the planet watches it, and therefore I’d lose a little bit of my masculinity if I did. Anyway…

Looks like Demspey is jumping back to the big screen again with a romantic comedy that sounds anything but original. The good folks at Movieweb give us this:

Patrick Dempsey will star in the romantic comedy, Made of Honor for Columbia Pictures and Neal Moritz’s Original Film. The film is a male-driven romantic comedy about a guy (Dempsey) whose dream girl asks him to be her maid of honor, says Variety. He agrees in an attempt to win her heart.

Ummm… can anyone say “My Best Friend’s Wedding“??? (one of only 2 films I’ve ever cried in. What?? Shut up!!!).

On a side note, my best friend used to be a girl, and when she got married, her groom VERY generously agreed to let me be the “Best Man” just so she could have me up there with her. Class guy. Man I haven’t seen her in ages. Anyone know where Dianne and Carl live these days?
