Ed Harris is joining Samuel L. Jackson in the new thriller Cleaner. Like french fries and gravy, these two charismatic actors should be a great mix. Here’s what yahoo.com had to say:
Ed Harris is in negotiations to join Samuel L. Jackson in the indie crime thriller “Cleaner,” which is set to begin shooting next month in Shreveport, La. The project centers on a man who specializes in cleaning up crime scenes and is drawn into a mystery when he cleans up the evidence at a murder before the killing is reported.
Harris will play Jackson’s former partner. Keke Palmer has also joined the cast, as Jackson’s daughter. Renny Harlin will direct. Jackson is also serving as a producer.
The thought of these two guys together makes me giddy, I love both of them, I really enjoy the strength and the spontaneity that they are both able to give to the roles they take on. Another bonus is the director who has done a few of my guilty pleasures such as The Long Kiss Goodnight, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 The Dream Master and he produced Blast from the Past.
So that’s the good, the bad is the plot, it sounds pretty played. It could almost be a CSI episoide. I’m still curious to see the trailer and because of the cast I will see the movie but unless they show something fantastic in the trailer this one will probably be a renter.
