Without a doubt, I think Batman Begins was the best comic book adaptation of Batman to date. I refuse to group it in with the others and have since lost my desire to watch them again (Schumacher helped a lot with that though). And with the sequel – Dark Knight – I cannot wait to see Ledger as the Joker. The more I think about it the better it gets. However, the character of Harvey Dent is generating a lot of casting rumours.
With the Joker settled, the rumor-mongering is all about who will play Harvey Dent, the District Attorney who eventually becomes one of Batman’s arch villains Two-Face. In Tim Burton’s Batman movie he was played by Billy Dee Williams, in Joel Schumacher’s it was Tommy Lee Jones. Batman On Film says that in Christopher Nolan’s next Batman movie he may end up being played by Jamie Foxx.
Of course the ROLE of Harvey Dent may or may not have him AS TwoFace in this movie. He is likely to be introduced simply as a lawyer. I really like this idea. This suggests MORE Batman films of this vein. It could simply be a lead up, and as far as the rumours that I have read on the subject it appears to be the case. That could be wrong too.
I dont have an issue with Jamie Fox as TwoFace, though I would sooner see Ryan Phillipe or Edward Norton in the role. Probably more Norton as he does crazy just as well as he does straight.
Who do you think would make a good TwoFace?
