Porn on HD-DVD … the War is Over

It has been decided. The Civil War of Next Gen DVD Formats™ is over. In a decisive blow, one industry has cast their vote and sided with HD-DVD therefore tipping the scales of justice forever in its favour.

TG Daily reports:

Knowing their audience quite well, the adult entertainment industry holds their annual get together in Las Vegas to coincide with the CES. There is also a very pertinent crossover between the adult and tech industries – porn has a tendency to drive, and be driven, by technology. Which means HD DVD when it comes to high-def.

Yes ladies and gentlegerms, the mighty have spoken and since they make up over 75% of the interweb – and we know how much web opinion affects the entertainment industry – we can now safely say its done.

Seriously though, in the Format War of the 80s (you whippersnappers have no idea what I am talking about) it really did come down to the porn industry siding with VHS that decided that battle. And like Ron Jeremy’s fit waistline, the rest is history That may just be what we are looking at here.

Sorry BluRay, no gratuitous boobies for you.
