Rennee Zellweger Says No Bridget Jones 3

For some reason, i just haven’t been able to really get into the Bridget Jones Diary movies. Maybe it’s because I have a penis. Who knows.

Having said that, the popularity of the franchise is undeniable, especially amongst women (and all other forms of life without a penis). So it’s been understandable that there have been lots of “Bridget Jones Diary 3” rumors flying around. But accoding to the good folks over at MovieHole, and Renee Zellweger herself, those rumors just aren’t true:

“It’s like all the other rumours—it’s simply not true,” Zellweger tells ITV. “It seems there is some kind of talk, but it’s not with the people who make the movie or write the books.

“I heard about that in London. I just got back from Vancouver and I got hit with those questions, like, it’s a fact and it’s signed, sealed and delivered. I thought, ‘Wow! That’s a surprise,’ so I called the sources and they said it was bollocks and there is no truth in it at all.”

So there you have it. At the moment at least, there are no plans to do a Bridget Jones Diary 3, and it doesn’t sound like there will be any in the near future. But as I’ve always said… if there is money to be made, then a film will eventually get made. And trust me, with all those non-penis people out there, there is money to be made with a Bridget Jones 3.
