It seems as though script problems have possibly hauled the production of the Halloween remake. The folks over at cinemablend.com give us this on the matter:
if the latest rumors are to be believed: Rob Zombie is holding off on production of Halloween in order to go back and mend his script. According to Bloody Disgusting, the rumormill has generated the idea that Zombie has returned to the script for re-writes, possibly in response to contradicting script reviews posted by other sites last week. The idea that Zombie might be reacting to those reviews is interesting, especially since he responded to fan outrage over reviews on his myspace page, urging fans to stop being influenced so much by the thoughts of others.
I cannot decide whether or not there is validity to this rumor. On the one hand Zombie’s image is all about not giving a care as to what people think of him but on the other end he is a huge movie buff and I can’t help thinking that he must desire the respect and inclusion of the film community.
If it was me and my script was reviewed by a bunch of different people and it got a bad response I would rethink some of my choices with the script, it just seems like a logical thing to do. This movie is also probably going to have the largest budget out of any of Zombie’s films, so it may be that the producers are pushing to have him take a second look. If Zombie wants to keep working in the film world he would have to listen to the suits. But that doesn’t really seem like his style.
What does everyone think out there, is this true, is Rob Zombie rewriting a script because of bad reviews on it or is this just a rumor?
