Sophia Bush Up For Wonder Woman

Sophia-Bush-Wonder-WomanThe Wonder Woman project has been on perpetual hold for what seems like forever now. Joss Whedon was said to have turned down the opportunity to direct X-Men 3 (depending on who you listen to) in order to focus on Wonder Woman. Well… X-Men 3 has come and gone from theaters… and Wonder Woman… well… we still don’t even know who will play the lead role.

A lot of names have been throw around for the Amazon warrior, including Charisma Carpenter (My personal Choice), Morena Baccarin and Jessica Biel. But it looks like you can add another name to that list. Sophia Bush. The folks over at MovieHole give us this:

This past week, they had the chance to ask (Sophia) Bush – you may remember, she was the girl that was fired a couple of weeks into “Terminator 3” and replaced by Claire Danes – about the rumours (that they had decided not to print, until they had investigated further).

According to the site, Bush didn’t deny the rumours at all, simply meshing a “Maybe” with a smile.

Well, I don’t want to read too much into things, but that sounds like a “yes” to me. Or it could just be her trying to get the studios attention for the role… who knows. But honestly, it’s nice to hear ANYTHING these days with this movie. It’s starting to get to the point where I’m WONDERING if it’s ever actually going to happen.

Your thoughts?
