Christina Ricci is known as many things, but pig faced doesn’t usually come to mind, now with her new role in Penelope, that may just change, the new trailer for Penelope is now online for all to see.
Penelope has an interesting story; Penelope is a modern day offbeat fable about a young woman who, having spent her life trapped by a family curse sets out to find love and discover her true self. The trailer looks pretty cool, kind of reminds me of Edward Scissorhands in a funny kind of way, it looks good, really good.
They don’t show us Ricci’s face, but that doesn’t make the trailer disappointing at all. I’m happy to see one of my favorite up and coming actors in this film as well, the charismatic James McAvoy (The Last King of Scotland) and some veteran comedic actresses in the way of Catherine O’Hara and Reese Witherspoon.
With a strong cast, a unique story and Ricci with a pigface you can bet I’ll be stepping right in line to see this come April.
