We all know her from X-Men but Famke Jannsen has been around a long time, the first time I remember seeing her was in an episode of Star Trek:The Next Generation, she was great in that and I am sure she will be great in this new haunted house thriller 100 Feet. The good people over at cinematical.com give us more on her new role:
100 Feet involves a woman under house arrest for killing her abusive husband, who just so happens to be haunting the house she can’t leave.JoBlo.com exclusively announced that Famke Janssen will play the captive/terrorized woman, and the site quoted Red as saying he plans for her to evoke Audrey Hepburn’s Oscar-nominated performance in Wait Until Dark.
I really like the sound of this movie. It definitely could have a Wait Until Dark feel to it, especially if her dead husband only came out at night. There is nothing more uncomfortable than to be stuck somewhere with someone you don’t like. Change that to be under house arrest in a place haunted by the person who you just killed and you have a movie.
I love this premise and Janssen is perfect for the role. She can definitely pull of a woman who murdered her abusive husband, she always has such strength with that great touch of vulnerability.
Can’t wait to see the trailer.
