Well, it has been an amazing trip and time down here in Los Angeles, but as they said on the last episode of Star Trek the Next generation: “All good things must come to an end”. And so, tomorrow afternoon I head to the airport and fly back to Buffalo where I hope my car will start after sitting in the -30 degree weather for 10 days, and they drive back home.
I did a bunch of “official” stuff down here. Visited some studios, caught some screenings, did a couple of shows, met with some people… and I also gave myself extra days here just to do some “touristy” things too (which as you can see from the pictures below I took full advantage of).
I’ll go into more detail on specifics things that went on down here (Including talking for the next 6 months about how fringing hot Sharon Dewitt’s friends are… particularly Ashley and Brittany… but I’m getting sidetracked just thinking about them. So here are just a couple of quick pics I took while down here if any of you are interested.
This is me and Sharon just hanging out one night in Hollywood. She was an amazing host to me while I’ve been down here.
This is just me at the red carpet world premiere of Starters For 10
Tom Hanks was there… my camera sucks… but Trust me it’s him standing like 20 feet from me
The World Famous Mann Chinese Theater. Every Star Wars movie has premiered here… that’s all I need to know. :)
The Kodiak Theater – where they hold The Oscars
Me at Venice Beach earlier in the day. It was +30 degrees celcius here… I’m told on the same day it was -30 back home.
Had to get a pic of the star on the walk of fame of my favorite film maker.
Ok, I’ll stop boring you with the stupid tourist pictures. The bottom line is that I had a great time, met lots of wonderful people, enjoyed great weather and just had a blast in general… I may even come back next month for 3 months… we’ll see.
Oh, and I wanted to mention one more thing here. The host of Hollywood Babbel-On, the show here in LA that I do pretty much every week now, is Marty Keegan who is getting ready to direct his first feature film that starts shooting this summer. He and his beautiful wife Rebecca (who is the LA entertainment writer for Time Magazine) also babysat me and hosted me for the first few days that I was here in town. They are beyond wonderful people who treated me like family while I was here and bent over backwards to make my visit a wonderful one. I just can’t say enough about them both. Thank you guys!
As great as it’s been here, I can’t wait to get back to Canada tomorrow!
