Sci Fi Picks up Battlestar Galactica for another season

Next to Heroes, Battlestar Galactica is the best show on tv. Others disagree, but I am sucked into Heroes. I really like that TV seems to be pushing the envelope and putting out quality programming. Heroes, 24, Lost, Battlestar. These shows are setting the bar for quality. This new trend is very promising.

So it wasnt any great suprise when I heard Battlestar Galactica was getting picked up again. Coming Soon let us know that SciFi Network says:

“We’re thrilled to bring ‘Battlestar’ back for another season. This series has delivered on every level from the writing to the acting to the production values,” stated Mark Stern, Executive Vice President of Programming, SCI FI. “SCI FI is proud to be the home of the best show on television.”

I can see this type of show leading directly into a feature film much like XFiles did.

Make it part of the continuity, a big event, a turning point in the show. Then carry on with the next season.
