The Hulk Comes to Toronto

Some call it Hollywood North, we just call it home. Toronto has been the set of many big blockbuster Hollywood films. Jumper -staring Hayden Christensen, and Samuel L Jackson- was filmed there just last year. Here in Hamilton Ontario, 40 minute drive from Toronto we have seen such movies as XMen and Detroit Rock City filmed in notable locations. Now it looks like people will get to see Toronto in the upcoming HULK redux.

Canoe Jam writes:

The city has been chosen as a principal filming location for the upcoming Marvel Studios production of “The Incredible Hulk.” “The Hulk” is to be directed by Louis Leterrier (“Transporter” 1 & 2, “Unleashed”).

The film’s executive producer Jim Van Wyck (“Lemony Snicket,” “Armageddon”), shot in the city two years ago on the action flick “16 Blocks” and said he found the Toronto film community to be “exceptional,” lauding the co-operation from the city and the province.

“The Incredible Hulk” is expected to begin shooting this summer for about four months. The cast has yet to be announced.

Its unlikely that the Hulk will be seen trashing locations of Toronto, but they will film it here and call it a major US city.

Years ago when I worked as a courier in Toronto, during the milder months the downtown core was almost always filled with film crews and crew trailers.

Maybe this summer we can catch a glimpse of The Hulk.
