Fox Atomic will be blasting off into movie hilarity with the new space comedy Space Invader, starring Will Arnett. The people over at monstersandcritics.com give us this on the story:
Mike Lisbe and Nate Reger have been working for months on a new script for Fox Atomic entitled ‘Space Invader.’ The movie will star Will Arnett. What is the story all about? Comedy is set in a space station, story revolves around a love triangle between the astronauts.
This is Fox Atomic’s first deal since prexy Debbie Liebling took over the helm last month.
So Arnett and two other lucky …ladies? Hopefully there will be lots of fun with romance in outer space. Of course this movie will draw comparisons to the recent scandal involving the attempted murder by astronaut Lisa M. Novack but really this is a light comedy, I’m assuming the movie they make about her will be more of a dark comedy.
Seriously though there has not been enough funny movie is outer space, and if this actually is funny…well I’m there. Will it be funny? I’m not sure but the writers have a pretty good history with both of the previously writing on the television series Just Shoot Me.
I have my doubts with this film but I’ll wait until the first trailer comes out before I fully pass judgment. Besides, what could go wrong in space? Right?
