I first saw the Sunshine trailer (the new film by Danny Boyle, the dude who gave us Trainspotting and 28 Days Later) about a month ago. I’m actually a little torn by this film. On the one hand… it’s a Danny Boyle film. His track record so far is pretty impressive, so he at least gets the benefit of the doubt. Also, the trailer (see below) looks pretty damn sweet to me.
However, at the same time, isn’t this the same movie as “The Core” or “Armageddon” or “Deep Impact”? A (insert giant natural global disaster here) threatens the planet and a team of (insert various profession fields and various stars) head out on a desperate mission to stop (or re-start) it and save the world.
Whatever… the trailer does look sweet.
