Jurassic Park 4 With No Sam Neill

Sam-NeillI’ve always liked Sam Neill (I mean come on… how amazing was he in Hunt for Red October?) and I’ve always thought he was one of the big reasons Jurassic Park worked as a film aside from the ground breaking visual effects. Neill’s performance in the film was obviously overshadowed by the big bad monsters, but his ability to communicate amazement and wonder and fear all at once drew you into the movie and experience it on a different level that only made the impact of the dinosaurs even greater as you were watching it.

So sad news, it looks like Sam Neill won’t be appearing in Jurassic Park 4. The good folks over at Movieweb give us this:

“I know nothing about it. I haven’t heard from anyone,” says the actor, who reprised his role as Dr. Alan Grant in Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III. He adds that any reports that say he is attached to star are false.

Aww… that’s really a shame. Maybe they can bring Ice Cube in instead. (please note sarcasm)
