Boston Mayor Calls For Aqua Teen Boycott

Mooninite-ScareThis story is still one that just pushes the limits of human stupidity. As most of you know, some time ago the marketing team behind Aqua Teen Hunger Force tried a guerilla marketing campaign where they set up litebrites with an image of Ignignot (on of the simple Mooninite cartoon characters on the show) giving the finger. Did you get that? A LITE-BRITE… with a cartoon character… giving the finger.

They did this in several cities… but apparently a small segment of the population in Boston were so imbecilic that they mistook it for a terrorist attack. A LITE-BRITE…. with a cartoon charater… giving the finger. The city was thrown into a panic.

You know what… fine. Mistakes happen. So obviously when Boston officials realized it was nothing more than A LITE-BRITE…. WITH A CARTOON CHARACTER… GIVING THE FINGER… they just felt a little embarrassed and said “hey folks, sorry for the misunderstanding… our mistake. How could be possibly confuse A LITE-BRITE… WITH A CARTOON CHARACTER… GIVING THE FINGER… as a terrorist attack? Our bad”. Oh wait! No no no… that didn’t happen. That’s what SHOULD have happened.

Instead the clueless brigade that runs the city of Boston and embarrasses it’s citizens, decided to put the blame on someone else. And thus they started a witch hunt for the Aqua Teen Marketers. They realized they were going to look like total morons, so they tried to shift the heat off themselves and onto a couple of people who made A LITE-BRITE… WITH A CARTOON CHARACTER… GIVING THE FINGER.

But that’s the OLD news. The new news is that the Chief imbecile (the mayor of Boston) is calling for a Boycott of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie that opens up today. That’s right… the head elected official of the city of Boston is wanting his citizens to boycott and punish a movie for making A LITE-BRITE… WITH A CARTOON CHARACTER… GIVING THE FINGER. Still trying to shift the obvious attention of how incompetently he and his city officials handled the simple marketing plan in the first place… and make someone else the “bad guy”. It’s totally staggering.
