Hopkins to Father a WolfMan

Sir Anthony Hopkins is just one of those people that does scary so well that he doesnt have to say a word. The guy could just stare at you and give you chills. He doesn’t have to do a thing. You have no idea what he is thinking.

And speaking of “what was he thinking” M&C.com says:

Now IGN is reporting that the 70 year old Hopkins may play the Wolfman’s father in a new Benicio Del Toro movie ‘The Wolf Man.’ Pic will be directed by Mark Romanek (‘One Hour Photo’) with a screenplay by Andrew Kevin Walker (‘Se7en’).

The web site quotes Hopkins as saying. “There’s also a chance I may play the Wolfman in London in a movie with Benicio Del Toro. My agent says it’s a great script but he hasn’t sent it to me yet. He said he just wants to make sure that the deal is all in but I play the Wolfman’s father in Paris. A wonderful part.”

Hopkins comments seem a little off. He admits to not reading the script but is trusting his agent’s report that the Wolfman’s father is a “wonderful part”. Sounds more like a fluff answer to address a role he knows little about, and doesnt want to commit to raving or discrediting the news either way.

I just don’t know how to react to that.
