Everyone has a film that they love that is hated by many. I myself will go to war for the movie Roadhouse, and consider it to be one of the greatest action movies ever made. Jay Cheel is a man with passion and conviction for the movie Escape From L.A. I have heard him defend this movie for years, and recently he has written an extensive article on FILMJUNK that is very simply a must read in defense of the film. I have yet to see this movie. I have heard arguments from both sides and am certainly interested in forming an opinion of my own. That being said, the 7 points Jay provides could pretty much be my new bible. The gospel according to Snake Plissken.
