Looks like the rumors turned into fact; Shia LaBeouf will star in Indiana Jones 4. We get the skinny from joblo:
Finally after weeks of rumors, reports and denials we’ve got official confirmation – Shia LaBeouf will star in INDIANA JONES 4. They’ve stopped short of confirming LaBeouf as Indy’s son but the actor says, “I can tell you I’m sort of the sidekick character,” adding “it’s not going to be Short Round, all grown up.”
I have said before that I am not thrilled about the idea of Indy having a son in the film. Mind you Short Round didn’t bother me too much in The Temple Of Doom; but I have a hard time believing Indy would take a kid on the road with him (and what the hell happened to him after the film?) LaBeouf in mentioning Short Round calms my nerves, if the character doesn’t have the annoying sidekick feel – It will be an easier pill to swallow. I am still skeptical, but holding out hope that this will be a great film; because at the end of the day – I don’t want Indy to go out like Star Wars.
