The Hulk Will Be Green

Hulk-Green-HomerThe other day we talked about how Avi Arad (Big Cheese at Marvel Studios) said the next Hulk movie was going to feature a hulk that was a “new color”. That’s what he said… a “new color”. That set off a buzz around the interweb of people (including yours truly) speculating that the next Hulk film would feature the Grey Hulk. Made sense.

Personally, I prefer the Green Hulk. But honestly I really don’t think it matters that much one way or the other. 5 minutes after the movie started no one would care. But… now Arad is coming out and saying it was just a joke. The Hulk WILL indeed be green… just perhaps a different shade of green. The good folks over at Movieweb give us the following:

It has been confirmed that the Hulk will stay true to his natural hue. Maybe just a shade away from the almost neon green he was in Ang Lee’s much maligned film Hulk, but not a completely different color as it has been reported by some sources.

Green, Grey, Red, Purple or even just a Storm Cloud… I don’t really care what color The Hulk is (well… all other things being equal I do prefer the classic green). It’s not essential to the character… so while it would have irked me for about 2 minutes, I would have gotten over it.
