Darren Conley should be writing about this. International friends the majestic television show known as Gilmore Girls may be getting its own made for TV movie. We get the news from the moviehole:
TV Guide reports that the “Gilmore Girls” mightn’t be seen in more than just middle-of-the-day repeats in a couple of years. According to my pal Michael Ausiello, a two-hour telemovie may be on the cards.
Amy-Sherman Palladino, head honcho on the show, told the site, “in the next year or two, she hopes to make — wait for it — a two-hour Gilmore Girls TV-movie that ties up all those loose threads”.
The one chickie that sounds less than enthused about it is star Alexis Bledel. “That’s certainly not something I had thought of doing”, Bledel tells Ausiello. “That’s really funny, I have no idea how I would feel in a few years. I don’t know, I’m sure the script Amy would write would be great, but I guess I’d have to read it and see how I felt at the time.”
I was trying to wait and see if I could get an email response from Darren on this issue, but alas, he is busy educating strangers in the way of words. The linguist’s work is never done. Personally I am not interested in this project at all. I would however love to sit beside the Conley’s as they watch it, I have yet to see a person love the Gilmore Girls more than Darren and I think just watching him bask in the glory of the movie would entertain me greatly.
For those of you that do like the show I hope this fulfills your wildest dreams!
