Lucas Says 2 More Live Action Star Wars Movies Coming

And you thought Revenge of the Sith was the final chapter huh? The folks over at Fox News give us this:

And here’s a little news: Lucas tells me he will make two more live-action films based in the “Star Wars” era. “But they won’t have members of the Skywalker family as characters,” he said. “They will be other people of that milieu.”

Now, before you get too excited (or angry as the case may be) the writer goes on to say that the 2 news movies will probably be made for TV. A live action direct to TV Star Wars movie? Ummm… ok… that’s interesting.

Were the last 3 Star Wars films a let down? Yes they were (even though I liked Revenge of the Sith), but I’ll tell you straight up that my uber geekness would over take my common sense and I’d still be the first in line if Lucas made more Star Wars flicks. Hell… I’ll probably even order cable again if it means I can watch some crappy straight to TV movies too.
