Michael Moore is being fingered by the man for going to Cuba! We get the scoop from IMDB:
Appearing to bestow on him the kind of free publicity that has made Michael Moore the best-known and best paid documentary filmmaker in the business, the U.S. Treasury Department has notified the filmmaker that it is conducting an investigation to determine whether he violated the U.S. trade embargo when he took a group of 9/11 rescue workers to Cuba for treatment. The Cuba journey is included in Moore’s upcoming documentary about the U.S. health-care system, Sicko, due to debut at the Cannes Film Festival on May 19.
It is hilarious that Moore went to Cuba to have 9/11 rescue workers treated. He took American heroes to a pinko island to get healed by evil commie physicians. This is classic inflammatory Michael Moore and he is being probed by the government (probably) according to plan hook line and sinker.
Sicko is a film that may be better relieved by the right than his other films. Sicko deals with health care, and everyone who has ever been sick has an interest in that. Although getting help from Castro probably will put a kibosh on too much love from the Right.
This story has been all over the news and is front and center on Moore’s website. I have no doubt that the flames of debate will continue right up until the film’s release. I love Michael Moore CNN debates more than his films. Every More DVD should be released with the news footage surrounding the release.
