It looks like Rainn Wilson has scored another movie role. He is slated to star in the movie “The Rocker” by Fox Atomic. We get the news and following excerpt from movieweb:
Rainn Wilson has signed on to star in Fox Atomic’s The Rocker.
The comedy revolves around a failed drummer who gets a second shot at fame. The character will be based on Pete Best, the guy who dropped out of The Beatles. According to Variety, The Full Monty’s Peter Cattaneo will be directing the film.
This sounds like a great idea for a film. For most dropping out of a band to focus on a more stable career is the correct move. But for the person who drops out of a band, and then the band blows up – life will be one full of regret and “what if”. It is a great idea for a movie and Rainn Wilson is a fantastic casting.
Wilson is a funny dude and deserves the praise he is getting. The office has made him very well known and It is great that he is now being hunted for the silver screen.
