Gay Propoganda Group Upset that John Travolta is… well… Acting

John-Travolta-4There are few things that piss me off as much as special interest groups opening their stupid mouths and trying to force the world to see things their way. The most prominent and famous of these are the Religious Right lobby groups who pull stupid ass shit all the time (and in the process end up just embarrassing a lot of the people who belong to the religious right). But it’s not just the RR that have the market on Jack Ass Special Interest Groups.

From the IMDB:

John Travolta has been branded a hypocrite by gay rights activists furious his cross-dressing role in cult musical Hairspray is at odds with his religious beliefs. The star dons womenswear to play Edna Tumblad in the film, originally played by drag queen Divine in John Waters’ 1988 adaptation. But Kevin Naff of gay website Blade believes the Pulp Fiction actor’s involvement with the movie is disingenuous. He says, “Travolta, a prominent Scientologist, has no business for reprising an iconic gay role. It’s well known that Scientology rejects gays and lesbians as members and even operates reparative therapy clinics to ‘cure’ homosexuality. Divine is spinning in his grave.”

I’m sorry… but what a fucking moron. I guess Anthony Hopkins was a hypocrite and had no business playing Hannibal Lecter since he doesn’t actually kill and eat people in real life. Mark Hamill had no business playing Luke Skywalker cause he doesn’t actually use the force. And OBVIOUSLY Allan Rickman is a giant hypocrite and had ZERO business playing Hans Gruber in Die Hard since he’s not a terrorist thief (that we know of anyway).

It’s called ACTING. He’s playing a role you moronic fucktard. He’s playing a character… get over it.

Sorry… but stuff like this just pisses me off. And I don’t care if it’s the religious wackos or the gay lobby wackos… they should all be called on it when this sort of stuff happens.
