A Family Guy Movie

Family-GuyI never watched The Family Guy before it got cancelled the first time. My first exposure to it was with the DVD Stewie movie… and I HATED it. Well… I think the word “bored” was more like it. I just couldn’t understand what everyone was talking about and I could easily see why it got cancelled. About a year ago, a friend of mine gave me some Family Guy show dvds. Holy Crap I LOVED it. Now I just can’t get enough. I’m a sucker.

Anyway, with the looming Simpsons movie on the horizon, you knew it wouldn’t be long before people started talking about a possible Family Guy film. Cinematical gives us this:

Seth McFarlane says there’s a possibility that he might be bringing Family Guy to the big screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he is also still working on his film The Winner.

About the Family Guy movie, there are no plot ideas yet. And Fox Officials have not signed off on the project.

Yeah… you know what “not signed off on the project” means in Hollywood talk right? It means “We’re waiting to see how well The Simpsons movie does and if people are willing to pay to go to the theaters to see what’s on TV”. Because I guaran-damn-tee you that if Simpsons breaks $40 million on its opening weekend, a Family Guy movie will go into development faster than Paris Hilton breaks probation
