Classless Fox Withdraws From Comic Con Last Minute

Fox-Logo-2Fox is quickly becoming probably the most media and fan unfriendly company in entertainment these days… seemingly making bone head decision after bone head decision. Their lastest… is to… at the last minute… pull out of comic con. Not just pulling 1 or 2 of their presentations and movies out of Comic Con… but TOTALLY pull out.

Fox was supposed to show some footage and host discussions on the following films: “Hitman”, “Aliens vs. Predator”, “Jumper” (Which I’m an extra in by the way), “Babylon A.D.”, “City of Ember” and “The Dark Is Rising”. So why did they pull out at the last minute? Why cancel after everyone has already purchased their passes and made arrangements to go? Here is their excuse:

“Fox is not going to be able to participate in Comic-Con this year…… The material wasn’t ready and we only want to go out when we can put our best foot forward.”

Sean Dudas (Fox VP of national publicity)

Really? Soooo ummm… ALL SIX of the movies you were going to present about aren’t ready? Is your planning THAT pathetic that ALL SIX of your movies aren’t ready? Really?

Ok… I’ll play along for a minute. Let’s say your production schedule is so messed up that none of the 6 films you promised fans to present about are ready to show ANYTHING. Ok… then why not still have your panels? Why not still show production shots? Why not still have your celebs there? There are people out there who partially based their decision to go to Comic Con because of the promise of those 6 films. Discussion panels, seeing the stars. Why… a week away from the event… would you pull out entirely? NOT cool.

Then again, Fox has no class, and they’ve shown over and over again that they could care squat about the fans, the media, or anyone else for that matter. Yay Fox.
