Danny Boyle Says No Porno Anytime Soon

TrainspottingDirector Danny Boyle is slamming on the breaks on the persistent rumors going around that he is close to ready to film a follow-up film to his amazing “Trainspotting” that is being called “Porno”. However, as the good folks over at Filmwad tell us… that just ain’t happening anytime soon.

Danny Boyle has been a busy man as of late. In between screening his new flic Sunshine and bashing fellow director Eli Roth, Boyle has managed to find time to wax a bit on the prospect of filming a sequel to Trainspotting, tentatively titled Porno. The verdict? Things aren’t looking good. Boyle had this to say to MTVs Movie Blog about a potential sequel:

“We won’t be able to do it for a while because the guys don’t look any different. They haven’t aged at all!” Boyle said of the oft-rumored to be right-around-the-corner “Porno,” writer Irvine Welsh’s follow-up to “Trainspotting.” “They give this impression to the public that they’re out drinking and smoking, when in fact they are in a spa somewhere in the country!”

The actors don’t look any different?!?! Is this guy blind? Unless he’s joking around (which is possible when you read it) that’s a pretty stupid excuse. Even if it were true that the actors in Trainspotting didn’t look any different (which they DO), then there is this niffty little creation Hollywood came up with called “Make Up”. From what I hear, it works wonders.
