Good news coming out of the Indiana Jones camp. It appears they are not going to use any CG effects in the film and are going to keep it real and gritty. We get the sccop from the New Haven Registrar via our friends at filmwad:
Indiana Jones 4 producer Frank Marshall told the New Haven Registrar that “Steven [Spielberg] is very aware of the process and we’re not cheating with CG (computer graphics) at all. It keeps the B movie feel.”
I am glad they are using no computer effects. I do hope that they use more wax effects like in the first film. Nothing beats a good wax face melting while someone is screaming horribly. I also like the special effect in Temple of Doom when they ripped out the dude’s heart in the occult ceremony and then he healed really fast because he was a vegan.
I do like the sound of this news, it makes me relax a little and consider that maybe they want this film to be good. I hope we see a lot more whipping in this movie as well. I want to see Harrison Ford flat out whip a villain to death. That would be a motion picture first. I want Indy to make the whipping scene in Passion Of The Christ to look like foreplay. Whip justice!
