Grace Is Gone Poster

I’ve been saying for some time now how big of a fan of John Cusack I am. The guys is just always so solid and so bang on. You can drop him in Comedy, Drama, Horror… whatever. He’ll pull it off. Well I’ve just been reading about his new film “Grace is Gone“, and holy hell I’m getting choked up just thinking about it.

Here’s a synopsis for Grace is Gone from Cinimatical:

Grace is Gone follows a man (Cusack) who, after finding out his wife was killed in the Iraq war, decides to take his two daughters on a road trip to an amusement park because he can’t quite figure out how to tell them their mother has passed on.

Oh come on… tell me that doesn’t hit you right in the chest you heartless animals! :)

Seriously though, how amazing of a premise is this? You can tell that for a film like this to work, you’re going to need one hell of a performance from you lead to really pull it off and make the audience identify, sympathize and have their hearts break for. Cusack is the guy to do that.
