I just loved the first Hellboy film. Yes, there were a couple of weaknesses with the film (the whole love triangle stunt they tried in the movie was just a total waste of time, and I didn’t dig some of the monster designs), but the movie gave us things that no other comic adapted film ever has… or even tried before. I thought it was beautifully shot, a strong lead performance by Ron Perlman who perfectly portrayed Hellboy (not an easy job) and a solid story… all using the fantastic Hellyboy mythology from the comic.
As most of you know, Hellboy 2 is coming in 2008, and a poster for the film has just been released to the interweb that’s been floating around (thanks to Jarred for the heads up). It’s not bad for an initial announcement poster… but nothing outrageously special either. Still… anything Hellboyish I can see is a good thing. What do you think of it?
