I just can NOT understand for the life of me what Nathan Fillion isn’t one of the single biggest A-List movie stars out there today. The man is seriously talented. Solid for action, amazing comedic timing… and I’m secure enough in my hetrosexuality to say the man is also good looking enough that even I would consider blowing him.
Yet this guy just can NOT catch a break. He does a fantastic TV show… gets canceled after one season. Does an AMAZING movie (Serenity) that no one goes to see… he does ANOTHER AMAZING movie (Slither) that no one goes to see… and he just did YET ANOTHER AMAZING movie (Waitress) that no one is even talking about. What’s a guy gotta do?!?!
Anyway, caught wind of this new project he’s going going into production. It’s called “Trucker”. You guessed it, it’s about a trucker. But if you thought Nathan was the trucker… you’re wrong. The trucker will be Michelle Monaghan. The folks at Cinematical give us this:
In a nice change of pace, the trucker is being played by Michelle herself, and her character leads “a careless life with no responsibility until she has to take in her estranged 11-year-old son (Bennett) after his father (Bratt) is hospitalized.” The actress is so into this role that she not only signed on before they got financing, but she also became a licensed tractor-trailer driver.
Fillion is in it… which means the movie will bomb. Sorry Michelle.
