Punisher 2: Welcome Back Frank

Punisher-2-Welcome-FrankNo, that’s not just some clever post title at the top. “Punisher 2: Welcome Back Frank” is the actual title for the new Punisher movie. Yes… some highly paid consultants and executives and other creative professionals sat down around a big expensive table and asked a simple question: “What would be the dumbest, most pure garbage title we can possibly come up with”? They ended up with Punisher 2: Welcome Back Frank. With creative minds like that at work it’s no wonder Thomas Jane walked away from it and refused to reprise his role from the first film.

My sources tell me that the other names in the running were:

– Punisher 2: Screw you Thomas Jane

– Punisher 2: Search For Spock

– Rush Hour 4

– Live Free or Die Punisher

– Freddy vs Jason vs Punisher

– Killy McKill Kill

I think they did a good job in picking the absolute stupidest one possible. Good job guys.

Now, to be fair, I’m certainly not suggesting the movie itself will be bad because of the bad title. Live Free or Die Hard is one of the dumbest titles in film history, but that movie was pretty kick ass. So who knows.

I think personally i would have gone with Killy McKill Kill. But that’s just me.
