Well it looks like the upcoming adaptation for the best-selling novel, The Time Traveler’s Wife has gotten a lot more appealing, because the very under-rated Ron Livingston has just joined the cast.
Movieweb gives us this:
An adaptation of Audrey Niffenegger’s novel The Time Traveler’s Wife is quickly chugging towards the big screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ron Livingston has joined the cast, which also includes Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams. The plot revolves around a handsome Chicago librarian who has a gene that allows him to involuntarily time travel. He must help his wife come to terms with this malady, as their lives are often out of sync. Livingston will play the librarian’s best friend, an attorney who works for a non-profit organization.
Although I’m thrilled to see Ron Livingston cast in a very promising supporting role, I would much rather see Hollywood take notice of this very comedic actor and cast him in something where he does not play second banana or merely just a love interest.
He has won audiences over with his starring role in cult favorite, Office Space. He also won female fans over with his recurring role as Sarah Jessica Parker’s love interest (surprise, surprise) in Sex and The City. He has star potential! Why doesn’t Hollywood recognize that?
