Russell Crowe In The Dark Knight

Now this would be one hell of a Cameo. According to Christian Bale, Russell Crowe is doing a cameo in Dark Knight, the new batman film currently filming. The folks over at Moviehole give us this:

According to IF Magazine, Russell Crowe has a cameo in “The Dark Knight” – no doubt enticed into playing a part by pal and “3:10 to Yuma” co-star Christian Bale. Bruce Wayne himself says “”Russell’s going to actually be in the new BATMAN movie, which is a big surprise and I want to reveal it to everybody right now,”

Now this isn’t really all that far fetched. From what I understand, Christian Bale and Russell Crowe really hit it off while filming 3:10 To Yuma together. It’s really not a stretch for Bale to pick up the phone and say “Yo Russ-Man. Remember when you got hammered and started doing blow off the stomach of that Tranny hooker and you begged me not to tell anyone… ya well I got a little favor I want you to do for me…”

Ok, maybe that’s not exactly how the conversation went. And perhaps Bale is just yanking our chains. Still, that would be a fun cameo I think, and so I mark this up to being a rumor that has believability to it. I’m sure we’ll hear more about this in the coming days and weeks if it’s indeed fact.
