The Spirit Gets Eva Mendez

Eva-Mendez-SpiritEva Mendez has just joined the cast of the Frank Miller directed “The Spirit”. You know, think all you want about Mendez as an actress (I know some people think she’s solid, others think she’s horrible) I think we can all come together as a human family… different religions, races, sexual orientations and nationalities and agree with one harmonious voice… “Hot damn that is one sexy woman!”

Anyway, the guys over at RopeofSilicon give us this:

Eva Mendes will now join Gabriel Macht, Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson in the action adventure pic for Lionsgate. Miller adapted the story which centers on a man (Macht) who fakes his own death and fights crime from the shadows of Central City. The Octopus (Jackson) — who kills anyone unfortunate enough to see his face — has a different mission: he’s going to wipe out the entire city.

To be honest with you, I don’t mind Mendez as an actress. Don’t get me wrong, i’ve seen her turn in some WRETCHED performances (Ghost Rider anyone?) but I’ve also thought she’s been cute and mildly charming a couple of times too (Hitch).

She also had the very best line at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards this year:

Seth Rogan: “I like to impregnate women with my jew sperm”

Eva Mendez: “I LOVE JEW SPERM!”

Ok… I thought that was funny.
