Tim Allen and Elisha Cuthbert In The Six Wives of Henry Lefay

Tim-Allen-23It may be hard to believe, but there was a period of time that I actually really liked Tim Allen. I enjoyed Home Improvement there for a while, I think he’s got some killer stand up when he’s on his game… and damn if the dude wasn’t pretty close to perfect in Galaxy Quest. But then the man started to do just awful crap. (Joe Somebody, Zoom, Shaggy Dog, Santa Clause 2 and 3, Wild Hogs) and now the mention of his name in a film just turns me off it. It’s not fair… but it’s the truth.

Elisha Cuthbert has done… well… nothing really. She was ok on 24 (but honestly not that good). Captivity bombed to nuclear proportions… and this young, gorgeous actress who a lot of people was going to explode just hasn’t really been able to jump to the next level… nor do I think she’s capable to do so (I hope I’m proved wrong). So what better than to do an new wonky comedy with both of them. Here’s the news:

Tim Allen and Elisha Cuthbert have signed on to star in the family comedy-drama “The Six Wives of Henry Lefay.” The story centers on a man (Allen) whose wife and five ex-wives — ranging in age from 25 to 55 — fight over his will when they believe he is dead. Cuthbert will play his unwed daughter.

All in favor of pretending we never even heard of this movie and just moving on raise their hands (sun gets blocked out from hands in the air). Carried.
