Halloween On DVD Dec 18th

Halloween-Results

Talk about rushing it. The good folks over at MoviesOnline are reporting that the new Rob Zombie Halloween remake is going to be rushed into DVD stores just about 15 weeks after its theatrical release and is scheduled to appear in stores on December 18th. Wow… that’s pretty quick. Its not unheard of… but quick nonetheless.

Perhaps the strategy is “Let’s get it on DVD before word about how bad and forgettable the movie is gets out”. ok ok ok… to be fair I haven’t seen the movie yet myself… but I think Zombie is a terrible director and haven’t had much hope for this movie in a while… most viewers and critics seem to hate it… but our own Serena Whitney is one of those who enjoyed the film, so I’m going to give it a shot.

As a side note, the film itself performed pretty well at the Box Office this weekend taking in about $27 million which is impressive for its genre. I don’t think it’ll have legs though considering the negative word of mouth spreading about the movie.
