Anybody who knows me personally, knows how Sex and The City is my all time favorite show. They also know how frustrated I have been with the whole “are they going to or are they not going to do the movie” fiasco. After three long years, Sex and The City movie is a go, and they also have a Oscar Winner that just joined the cast.
Cinema Fusion gives us this:
Hudson looks to be adding another potential winner to her resume by signing up for the big screen adaptation of the popular HBO series. Jennifer will play an assistant to Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), joining the the complete cast of Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Chris Noth (who plays Mr. Big, even though I know he got a real name in the finale). The show’s executive producer, Michael Patrick King, is set to both write and direct the big screen version.
This is exciting news for SATC fans everywhere! Hmm…Carrie has an assistant now? I wonder what they’re going to do with that? I have been a fan of Jennifer Hudson since Dreamgirls, but always wondered if she really was a great actress and not just a great singer. I think she has the comedic chops to join SATC, and I can’t wait for this film to come out already! (Btw..Bring back John Corbett as Aidan Shaw! We miss him!)
