Being a fan of the horror genre, it is easy to tell if a horror movie is going to be a generic teen money maker or something that is truly frightening. The upcoming horror indie, Insanitarium sounds like something true horror buffs would be interested in watching.
The Hollywood Reporter gives us this:
Midnight Meat Train” writer Jeff Buhler penned the script and is making his directorial debut on the indie horror thriller. Metcalfe will play a man who pretends to be crazy in order to save his sister (Sanchez) from being involuntarily hospitalized. Once inside the institute, the siblings discover that a doctor (Stormare) is using his patients like lab rats, forcing them to take a drug that turns them into flesh-eating psychopaths.
Well this sounds a lot better than John Tucker Must Die, I’ll tell you that much! Although Jesse Metcalfe is known for being a teen heartthrob, I think this a more grown up and welcomed role for the young actor. This also sounds like one grisly and gory film in the making. I definitely can’t wait for the movie stills. What are your thoughts?
