This is an event that you simply MUST get to if you’re a fan of horror and indie. Last year, the Toronto After Dark Film Festival launched with amazing success. Some great films in a wonderful venue (Bloor Cinemas) with a fantastic group of audiences that came to have a good time (It’s the festival where I first saw “Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon” which went on to become one of my favorite films of the year).
This year, Toronto After Dark is back and it’s even bigger than last year. Running from October 19th to the 25th, the festival has expanded to 7 nights of outrageous fun, and we’re going to be there for every night… you should absolutely make plans to get down there fora couple of them!
Some of the features running this year:
- Mulberry Street
- Aachi & Ssipak
- In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale NEW!
- Blood Car NEW!
- Audience of One
- Automaton Transfusion
- Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead
- The Rebel NEW!
- The Tripper
- Wolfhound
- Alone NEW!
- Simon Says NEW!
- Nightmare Detective NEW!
- Murder Party NEW!
I was THRILLED to see that “The Tripper” was playing at the festival this year… although I am a bit disapointed that Uwe Boll’s film “Dungeon Siege” is playing instead of “Postal”. Oh well.

Anyway, start making your plans to get out to Toronto for 1 or all 7 of these fun, amazing nights of movies. You’ll catch me, Serena, Doug, Bruxy and Rodney hanging around… we hope to see you there!
