Mischa Barton is set to star in a new thriller directed by Morgan J.Freeman (NOT the great Morgan Freeman) and the film is written by Frank Hannah (behind the brilliant ‘The Cooler’) The film also stars Matt Long, Jessica Stroup and few other “name not ringing a bell” actors.
Monsters and Critics gives us this:
The film’s plot follows a former small-town golden boy and his new girlfriend who return to his hometown for a visit. When they arrive, they discover his high school sweetheart (Barton) has an unhealthy obsession with him.
What the hell has happened to Misha Barton’s career? A couple of years ago, she was all everybody was talking about. She was apart of a hit television show that could have been on for years if she hadn’t quit. Quitting that show made her once rising film career fizzle like just Sarah Michelle Gellar’s when she had left ‘Buffy.’ Now this girl is reduced to starring in a ‘Fatal Attraction’ rip-off that makes ‘Swimfan’ sound like a masterpiece.
The only thing that gives me hope is having Frank Hannah writing the screenplay. Nothing about this movie sounds remotely interesting, but maybe guys out there will get a kick out of seeing Mischa Barton portray a sexy psycho.
