Black Death Lands Lena Headey And Sean Bean

Lena-Headey-Black-Death.jpgThere’s a new film going into production that has (for sad reasons) really caught my attention. The movie is called “Black Death” and it has just signed up a pretty decent looking cast with Lena Headey (Terminator TV Show, 300) and Sean Bean (One of the best actors out there who gets next to no attention).

The basic idea of the film looks like this:

Set in an apocalyptic medieval world during the first outbreak of bubonic plague in England, the Ecosse Films production details the story of a band of brothers whose quest is to hunt down a necromancer. Friend will play a young monk sent to investigate rumors of people being brought back to life, and Bean has been cast as a mercenary priest who arrives in the same village. Against the backdrop of the peaceful village lies a pact with the forces of darkness, orchestrated by the village ruler (Headey).

Giddy Up! Count me in! Headey has been doing a terrific job on Terminator filling the almost impossible shoes of Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor and Sean Bean just rules. Throw in anything that is medieval based with necromancer and dark rouge priests and I’m a drooling fanboy in the seat.
