Nathan Fillion (a good Canadian boy)has to be the poster boy for the “I just can’t catch a fricken break” foundation. The man is insanely talented, carries an on-screen charm that rivals Jimmy Stewart, is as good looking as any of the top “heart throbs” out there in Hollywood today, appears in some brilliant stuff… and yet nothing ever seems to work out for this guy (granted, that’s a relative thing, since he is still a movie and TV star and I’m writing on a website). Fillion should be a MAJOR “A” lister, but the reality is he’s not even considered a “B” list guy right now, and that’s a shame.
Anyway, word is he’s just signed up to co-star with Renee Zellweger in a new comedy called “Chilled In Miami”. The folks over at Movieweb give us this:
Fillion is set to star alongside Renee Zellweger and Harry Connick Jr. in this film about a Miami businesswoman who gets transfered to the chilly state of Minnesota. It’s unclear what Fillion’s role would be, but he joins a cast that also includes Siobhan Fallon Hogan, J.K. Simmons, Frances Conroy and Rashida Jones. The film is currently shooting in Winnipeg.
For those of you who may not know, Winnipeg is NOT in Minnesota, but rather a city in Canada west of Ontario and East of Saskatchewan. It’s also one of the coldest cities I’ve ever been in… so it’ll work for that movie for sure.
